Sir George Hunter (1859 – 20 August 1930) was a New Zealand politician of the Reform Party.
He was elected to the parliament from the Waipawa electorate in the New Zealand general election of 1896. Hunter was defeated in the general election of 1899, but was elected again in the 1911 elections. He continued to serve in the parliament until his death in 1930.[1]
He was knighted in 1921.[1] He was a son of George Hunter, and a grandson of George Hunter, the first Mayor of Wellington.
